Gel Med is developing the Gel Drug Delivery System (GDDS) to deliver peptide/protein therapeutics and other pharmaceuticals in gels that can be administered to mucous membranes. For animal health products, the GDDS provides a more animal friendly and environmentally safe method of delivery and avoids carcass blemishes and injection site residues in food animals. Gel Med's lead product improves timing of artificial inseminations in pig herds.
